Sermon Text: Genesis 1
The songs we will sing this week include the following, provided in a YouTube playlist here and a Spotify playlist here:
Psalm 148:7-13
To God be the Glory
I Stand Amazed
All My Boast is in Jesus
Job 12:7-10
How Great Thou Art
Genesis 1
His Glory and My Good
Apostles' Creed
Prayer of Consecration
Communion
Doxology
This Sunday we gather to join all creation in giving glory to God, as Psalm 148 calls everything on earth and in heaven to praise His name. Through songs like To God Be the Glory, How Marvelous, and All My Boast Is in Jesus, we will celebrate the greatness of God’s salvation and confess that all our hope is found in Christ alone. Job 12 reminds us that every living thing is sustained by the hand of God, leading us to marvel at His power and providence. The message from Genesis 1 will direct our attention to the Creator whose wisdom, authority, and goodness are displayed in all He has made. As we respond with His Glory and My Good, we will recommit ourselves to living for God’s glory in every area of life. Gathering around the Lord’s Table, we will remember Christ’s sacrifice, rejoice in His resurrection, and anticipate the day we feast with Him in His eternal kingdom.
