This Sunday we gather to worship the Lord, our great Shepherd, and to rejoice in the salvation and victory He has given us through Christ. Through O for a Thousand Tongues to Sing, He Is Exalted, and Jesus, Thank You, we will praise Christ for His greatness and give thanks for the grace secured for us through His sacrifice. The reading from 1 Corinthians 15 reminds us that because of Christ’s victory over death, our labor in the Lord is never in vain. The message from 1 Timothy 5:17–18 will consider the church’s responsibility to honor and support those who faithfully labor in preaching and teaching. We will respond with All Glory Be to Christ, acknowledging that every work of the church and every fruit of our labor ultimately belongs to Him. As we depart with the blessing of Hebrews 13, we will trust our risen Shepherd to equip us with everything good to accomplish His will for His glory.
