Sermon Text: Galatians 3:1-9
The songs we will sing this week include the following, provided in a YouTube playlist here and a Spotify playlist here:
Psalm 59:16-17
Joy to the World
Joyful Joyful We Adore Thee
'Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus
Luke 2:8-14
What Child is This?
Joy Has Dawned - Choir
Galatians 3:1-9
Rejoice
1 Thessalonians 5:23
This Sunday we celebrate the joy of Christ’s coming—the Savior who brings light, peace, and redemption to all who believe. Our call to worship from Psalm 59 will remind us to sing of God’s strength and steadfast love, and we’ll lift our voices in songs of praise like Joy to the World and Joyful, Joyful. Through ’Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus and What Child Is This? we’ll reflect on the wonder of faith and the mystery of the incarnation. The choir will lead us in Joy Has Dawned, rejoicing that God’s promises have been fulfilled in the birth of His Son. From Galatians 3:1–9, we’ll hear the good news that salvation comes not through works, but by faith—just as Abraham believed God and was counted righteous. We’ll close with Rejoice, lifting grateful hearts to the God of peace who sanctifies us and keeps us blameless until Christ returns.
